I joined as the art director, designer and team leader. My role was to have the responsibility for creating the concept and visual direction.
KURAYA.INC held a big sake-tasting event in Tokyo 2016. Our mission was to get japanese millenials more interested in sake, especially those who were not so familiar with it, and to get them to purchase tickets for this sake-tasting event.
Nowadays, sake is very popular and trendy in Europe and the US but not as much in Japan as it is seen as something traditional, that old people drink. With this knowledge we tried to connect sake with fashion in a humorous, tounge-in-cheek, way. This graphic was made for ads, posters, flyers, tickets and signs.
The tickets and sake prepared for this event were all sold out.
